Hearts of Oak beat CI Kamsar 2-0 today at the Accra Sports Stadium in a game affair.
The Guineans battled Accra Hearts of Oak at every turn in the first half but the Phobians changed their game plan in the second half and pinned CI Kamsar in their half.
Striker Kofi Kordzi came on as a substitute and blasted a freekick into the net, with fans not allowed inside the stadium the Hearts bench created the perfect celebratory atmosphere.
A few minutes to full time substitute Salim Adams fired a rocket shot that went straight into the net to make it 2-0.
Coach Samuel Boadu speaking after the game to reporters stated that CI Kamsar are a disciplined side but his switch tactically helped has get the win.
"Well, they came playing a defensive game so it was difficult to penetrate. So coming into the second half. We had to change the tactics and play high ball. They are a good team and discipline as well,"
Hearts of Oak will play Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca in the next round of the competition.
