Techiman City chase GFA with court injunction ahead of Congress

Techiman City FC is chasing the Ghana Football Association (GFA) with a court injunction seeking to stop the upcoming Ordinary Congress slated for next week.

As reported by footballghana.com earlier, the Ghana FA has through a letter to members informed them that the 26th Ordinary Congress will be held on September 1, 2020, at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence at Prampram.

The date which coincides with the date CAS is expected to give its verdict on the Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer case has attracted outrage from several football administrators.

Division One League Club Techiman City FC is one of such clubs and is also not happy a proposal to amend the statutes of the GFA has been rejected from the agenda for Congress. They have hence taken formal steps to stop the Congress from coming on.

They have today tried to serve the Ghana FA with a Court Injunction. Reports picked up indicates that Bailiffs visited the association today but could not see General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo.

Meanwhile, the writ of summons has reportedly been given to the person in charge of HR at the GFA.
