Coach Stephen Abugri, the head coach for Techiman City Football Club has confessed that he is now very broke because of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease.
The 2019/2020 Ghanaian football was suspended in March as a move to stop the further spread of the deadly Covid-19 disease.
In line with that, the National Division One League has been put on hold for the past 3 months with some clubs facing financial difficulties.
According to Coach Stephen Abugri who is the head coach for Techiman City FC, he is also feeling the impact and is now very broke while at home.
“The effect of the COVID-19 is very negative on everything especially on me. In fact, am very hot and broke because in Ghana here, "No Coaching No Salary". I know all the other coaches are hot but I very broke”, the coach told Nkunim FM.
The return of the football season is now uncertain even though the Ghana Football Association (GFA) wants to smoothly see to the completion of the various leagues.
They continue to engage the government and other stakeholders and will decide the fate of the season at the end of June.
