Techiman City striker Stephen Manu says their relegation from the Ghana Premier League is the fault of the club's board of directors.
The Techiman based side couldn’t survive in their debut season as they joined two other team’s, New Edubiase and Sekondi Hasaacas as the three relegated teams.
They enjoyed a great start to the season as they were in forth position after five games, finishing the first-half of the season within the top-half of the log.
This Stephen Manu popularly known as BA says if management had done things well they wouldn’t have been relegated.
"We started the league very well under coach Yussif Abubakar. He was really doing a great job and it got to a point where we were placed fourth on the league table but because of some people's egos, he had to leave," Manu told Silver FM.
"In fact, his departure cost us and due to that we had to be relegated. The decision taken by the board was something unacceptable to many including me. It was not the best and they should have known that it would change our direction. I'm not happy with what they did.
"This is because no serious club will part ways with a coach who is performing so well. The coach joined us only few days before the start of the season but his record was very impressive even in such a crucial moment," he added.
