Teenage Star Agustin Davila to Fly Into Liverpool on Saturday as Transfer Talks Progress Well

Teenage prospect Agustin Davila will fly into Liverpool today, as the Merseyside club look to progress further with the idea of the 17-year-old joining the Anfield set-up.


Davila, who plays at Atletico Penarol in Uruguay, is little-known to anybody outside of Uruguay. However, he has proved to be a quick and versatile forward in South America.

The youngster's work permit situation could be an issue, and questions over his passport have not yet been resolved. He is a prolific goalscorer and could be a future legend at Anfield.

Upon arrival, he will be given fifteen days to impress Liverpool academy director Alex Inglethorpe. A contract could be on the cards if enough is done.


The prospect will doubtless have heard that the club he is arriving at are soon to be involved in one of the biggest annual matches in the world, against Manchester United on Monday. Davila can speculate about being involved in a game of such magnitude in the future, possibly scoring vital goals to sink the Red Devils.


For now, all he can do is pass the first test.
