Dutch-born Ghanaian teenager Leeroy Owusu scored the winning-goal for Excelsior Rotterdam in their 2-1 triumph over FC Twente in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday evening.

The 19-year-old evaded his markers to stun the home fans at the De Grolsch Veste Stadium just after the 60th minute.

Owusu trapped a through-ball from his teammate Luigi Bruins and held of his markers before firing into the far corner.

Born to Ghanaian parents in the Dutch city of Purmerend, Owusu spent most his youth career with powerhouse Ajax Amsterdam.

However, he was unable to break into the first team and was mostly restricted to the second string side where he played regularly in the Dutch second-tier.

This forced his switch to Excelsior after the end of last season and he has enjoyed a precious start to his career at the club.
