Former Asante Kotoko left back Godfred Yeboah has implored the club management to bring back Songne Yacouba into the team to avoid disgrace in the NC special competition.
The Special Competition commenced last weekend and it has recorded some surprising results already. The Porcupine Warriors have played two matches, winning one and losing one scoring only once through Abass Mohammed's lucky strike against Aduana Stars.
Kotoko had less than four shots on target against Medeama SC and this has resulted in calls of the return of Songne Yacouba in the team.
Godfred Yeboah believes the absence of Burkina Faso international is the last straw that broke the camels back.
With that, management should solve the friction between both parties to bring the talisman to the pitch to avoid disgrace in the special cup.
"The exclusion of Songne Yacouba in Kotoko set up has really affected the team. Kotoko already has problems in their attack".
"Management should settle everything with the player for his possible return to avoid any disgrace in the ongoing NC's Special Competition. Kotoko is not a small club so good decisions should be taken for the progress of the club", Yeboah told Otec Fm in Kumasi.
The Reds in-form goal poacher has been linked with a move abroad amid reports in the local media with North African teams enquiring on his services ahead of a new season.
He has been approached by Al Hilal of Sudan with a whopping signing on fee as well as Orlando Pirates.
He joined Kotoko last season and has been a key contributor for the Reds under the tutelage of coach C.K Akunnor.
