The technical director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Oti Akenteng has noted that the recent training workshop organized for coaches went very well while sharing that he is delighted with the outcome.

The FA is looking to see an improvement in the level of play in the upcoming domestic season and in line with that held a workshop for Premier, Division One, and Women’s League coaches.

Following a successful end to the workshop, Oti Akenteng says he was surprised by the number of people who take advantage of the training. According to him, it gives him great encouragement going into the upcoming season.

“I never even expected it will go this way. So nice and you saw the presence of even the national team coach Kwesi Appiah who gave a very good account of himself and everybody adored him”, the GFA Technical director said.

He continued, “The number of coaches who also attended the program was very very encouraging. We did the team management, in fact how they should be able to manage themselves during the league. Some do’s and don’ts and then a few other things we discussed which basically have been worrying us.

“I think it has been wonderful. It has been very good and very encouraging. I don’t even know how to go about it but am so much motivated and very much encouraged”.

Similar training workshops are expected to be held for local coaches subsequently to help them improve.
