Black Princesses head coach Yusif Basigi has stated that his team is poised to battle Benin in their first game at the inaugural WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup.

Black Princesses landed in Kumasi yesterday and went for a routine morning walk on Friday morning.

For the hour-long training session at the Ejisu Okese Park, head coach Yussif Basigi had a complete squad.

“We came to train for an hour and you can see the mood in camp is positive and the players are ready for the game against Benin’’ Coach Basigi said after the training session.

“For injury situation in camp, we are working closely with the medical team and they have assured us of no injury concern in camp. We have our full squad fit for the game tomorrow”

”We entreat all Ghanaians to come to the stadium in their numbers to support and cheer us to victory,” he ended.

On Saturday, May 20, 2023, in the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the Black Princesses will take on Benin.

The Black Princesses played an international friendly game against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium as part of their preparation for the tournament.

The Ghana u-20 female team inflicted an 11-0 win over Niger ahead of the upcoming tournament in Kumasi.

A hat-trick from Stella Nyamekye and braces from Faiza Seidu and Mafia Nyame as well as strikes from Tracy Twum, Helen Alormenu, and Mary Amponsah ensured free-scoring Ghana secured a huge win.
