Ghana's U-23 national football team, the Black Meteors, is set to embark on an exciting journey as they gear up for the highly anticipated Afcon U-23 tournament.

Meteors chairman, Frederick Acheampong has revealed that the team would head straight to Morocco after their friendly against Zamalek.

The Black Meteors of Ghana drew 1-1 with Egypt in their first friendly game.

"After the Zamalek match we won't play any friendly match here again. The plan is to leave Egypt in the morning tomorrow for Morocco to start the competition. Our first match is 25th so tomorrow is 21st," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"So it will be difficult to play another friendly match so we will just move into Morocco to start the main preparation towards our first match in the competition. Players that are playing for Black Stars that are eligible we have contacted them to join us,"

"The three players we are wanting to see those whose clubs will give them permission to come to join us. We will leave here tomorrow so those that are ready will join us in Morocco tomorrow God willing,"
