The weather is very hot but my players are adapting well – Ghana U20 coach Karim Zito ahead of Nigeria game

The head coach of the Ghana U20 team, Karim Zito has disclosed that the weather conditions in Niger ahead of his team’s opening match of the WAFU Zone B U20 championship against Nigeria is very hot.

The gaffer has travelled to Niger with the Black Satellites hoping to defend a title the team won last year.

Speaking to the media team of GFA, Coach Karim Zito says despite the issues with the weather, his team is coping very well.

According to the experienced Ghanaian gaffer, his team is ready to fight for the title this year.

“We are trying to cope with the weather condition which is hotter than the sun expected. Nonetheless, we are trying to adapt to it and are ready for the competition,” Coach Karim Zito said.

He continued, “I have been here previously for about a year so I know what’s to expect around this time of the year but am happy since we got here the players have shown signs of adapting to the weather conditions.”

Ghana’s opening game is scheduled to kick off at 16:00gmt at the Stade de General-Seyni-Kountche in Niger.

In the second game, the Black Satellites will then face Burkina Faso in the next group game on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the same venue.
