Asante Kotoko SC Director of Communications, Lawyer Sarfo Duku says no club has tendered in a bid for Songné Yacouba neither has it being rejected.
There have being news circulating in the local media, reporting that some African clubs notably, Zesco United, Al Hilal and Orlando Pirates are in chase for Asante Kotoko red-hot enforcer. With an offer that can not hold the striker to stay in Kumasi.
Sarfo Duku, has refuted all reports stating that no club has tendered in a bid and has being rejected by the Ghana Premier League record holders.
"As a matter of fact no club has officially written to kotoko bidding for Songné Yacouba, not to talk of the club(Kotoko) rejecting it"No offer has being tabled, so what is the basis that he is going when there hasn't being any offer", Sarfo told Nhyira FM.
He added that; " Kotoko is not owing Yacouba, what we know is the club still has contract with him"And what we are not disputing is the player got injuried and was with our Doctors for treatment".
"And has now being declared fit by the medical team".
The Burkinabe International however, commenced training with the first team of Asante Kotoko on Thursday ahead of their weekend clash with Berekum Chelsea.
He signed a two year deal with the Reds.Having had a year stint with Kotoko SC, he has a year more left on his contract with the club.
