Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has been subbed off due to injury in Arsenal's Premier League game against Aston Villa.
The 27-year-old has experienced an injury ridden period at Arsenal since joining them on a 50 million euro deal in 2020. He suffered his first injury coincidentally against Aston Villa earlier this season.
Arsenal are trailing 1-0 and have little time to equalize. Partey was taken off in the 74th minute and was replaced by Willian. Partey was visibly holding his thigh as he was on the ground in pain.
The former Atletico Madrid man will hope that the injury is not serious.
