Thomas Partey plays full throttle as Atletico Madrid holds Barcelona to a stalemate

The Ghanaian was in action for Atletico Madrid during their 2-2 draw with Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

The hosts got off the perfect start. Lionel Messi's corner was flicked on to Diego Costa who put the ball into his own net in the 11th minute.

Atletico Madrid fought back and were rewarded with a penalty that Diego Costa missed but a retake was capitalized by Saul Niguez in the 19th minute.

The two sides went into the break with one goal each.

Barcelona started quicker in the final half and were rewarded with a penalty which Messi converted in the 50th minute.

Atletico Madrid went on the offensive and earned another penalty. Saul stepped up again and found the net in the 62nd minute. The visitors held on to a draw.

Thomas Partey was solid throughout the game with some good tackling and passing.

Barcelona now have 70 points and Madrid have 59 points.
