Thomas Partey untouchable at Arsenal amid transfer interest

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey is believed to be untouchable at Arsenal amid transfer interest from several clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old is one of the Gunners' most important acquisitions since Mikel Arteta became the club’s manager in 2019.

He was in top form earlier this year before his season was curtailed by a knee injury.

Partey, who last featured for Gunners in April during the clash against Crystal Palace is making good progress in training and is likely to feature again for Arsenal in the English Premier League with two matches left to play.

His absence has dealt a huge blow to the club as their hopes of finishing in the top four were dealt a major blow at St James’ Park following a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Monday.

Since the injury to Partey, Arsenal have struggled for consistency in the top-flight, and out of the eight matches they have featured in without the former Atletico Madrid midfielder, they have managed four wins, and four defeats.

Partey has made 24 league appearances for Arsenal, scored two goals and provided one assist in the process.
