Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has described as fantastic the performance of Thomas Partey in the team’s win against Rapid Vienna on Thursday night.
The highly-rated midfielder earned his first starting role for the Gunners today following his 45 million pounds move from Atletico Madrid on transfer deadline day.
Featuring for his new club in a Group B encounter against Rapid Vienna, Thomas Partey displayed outstanding form as he helped Arsenal to cruise to a 2-1 win.
In a post-match interview, an impressed Mikel Arteta has heaped praises on the Ghana superstar.
“I think he held the midfield by himself in the second half when we were a little bit more open and started to take more chances attacking certain spaces with some players.
“But I think he was fantastic tonight and there is much more to come from him obviously”, Arteta said.
