Thomas Partey's Atletico Madrid to face Juventus in last 16 of Champions League

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey's club side Atletico Madrid have been drawn against Italian giants Juventus in the round of 16 of the Uefa Champions League.

The Spanish side qualified to this stage as runners of their group containing Dortmund, Club Brugge and Monaco while Juventus topped their group ahead of Manchester United, Young Boys and Valencia.

Atleti will host the first leg in February, with the return fixture in March.

The Ghana international will be hoping to play a key role for his side, who, despite their inconsistent form, will fancy their chances against one of the favourites to win this year's competition.

Partey hasn't had much game time this season but has delivered anytime his services are required by coach Diego Simeone.

He will be hoping to play a key role in the two legged tie in their quest of making the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.
