Togbe Afede hosts dinner party for Hearts

Executive Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak, His Royal Highness Togbe Afede XIV threw a dinner party for the playing body, management and technical team at his residence on Friday night.

The Dinner Party, which is usually held every year before the beginning of the season, was also used to usher in new Chief Executive Officer of the Club Mark D. Noonan and welcome Mr. Ken Kanyagui to the Hearts family.

Board members Madam Ivy-Heward Mills, Eric Barimah-Atuahene, and Alhaji Brimah Akanbi joined the Executive Chairman in hosting the team.

Newly signed players and latest technical member Nii Odoom, together with existing players and backroom staff had the chance of dining with His Royal Highness Togbe Afede XIV.

The bond creating dinner did not end with just the food but the players left the venue ¢15,000 richer whilst the technical team took home ¢5,000. Royal Oak - the U17 side of the club - received ¢10,000 from latest member of the Hearts family and business mogul Mr. Ken. Executive Chairman released ¢10,000 - with half of the sum going to the players and the other half to the technical team.

Togbe Afede XIV challenged the players to give of their maximum best and aim higher in their playing careers. He also revealed plans are far advanced for work to commence at the club's quiescence Pobiman site.

New CEO, Mark Noonan, also advised the playing body to work as a unit and act like a champion because "champions behave like champions even before they become champions".
