Coach of Ghana’s U23 football team Ibrahim Tanko is in Cairo enroute to Alexandria for the draw of the Africa U23 championship slated in Egypt.
Ghana makes its first appearance in the competition, after failing to qualify for the first two editions.
Ghana shares pot 2 for the draw alongside Zambia, Cote D’ Ivoire, and Cameroon, with South Africa and Mali sitting in Pot 1.
Host Egypt and defending champions Nigeria have been placed in groups A and B.
The tournament will take place in the second week of November.
