Ghanian striker Bernard Tekpetey is highly optimistic of a victory over Algeria in the CAF U-23 qualifiers on Friday.
The Fortuna Düsseldorf youngster says the Black Meteors have prepared well and hoping to take their chances in the crucial in the qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Tekpetey is among the 11 foreign players invited by coach Ibrahim Tanko for the qualifier the North African in Accra.
"We have prepared well and hoping to take our chances,” he told SportsworldGhana.com ahead of the crucial game. We want to make the nation proud with our quality by qualifying ahead of Algeria.
He added, "With every good game there is a strong support behind it, therefore, we expect the supporters to come to the stadium in their numbers to cheer us to victory."
Ghana will play Algeria in a two-legged tie clash to determine which of the side’s qualify for the African championship.
The winner of the double-header qualifiers will automatically qualify to the 2019 CAF U-23 tournament which will be staged in Egypt in November this year.
