Head coach for the Kenya women national team, David Ouma has expressed optimism in his side’s abilities to record a positive result when they come up against the Black Queens of Ghana later this week.

The two African countries are billed to face off in a two-legged encounter this month as part of the qualifiers to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Ahead of the first leg of the clash, coach Ouma admits his side faces a tough opponent but is also confident of getting an away goal to make the return leg in Nairobi easier.

“We will try to contain their strong points away from home and possibly get an away goal. I am confident we can get a positive result away from home, to make it easier in the second leg,” the gaffer for the Harambee Starlets said.

Meanwhile, the Kenyan team are on their way to Ghana and will arrive in Accra this evening.

The crucial match between the Black Queens of Ghana Black and the Harambee Starlets of Kenya will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, October 4, 2019.
