Tokyo Olympic Games: Ghana’s Black Queens beat Gabon 5-0 on aggregate to advance to next qualifying round

The Black Queens of Ghana has secured progression to the next qualifying round to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games after posting a 5-0 aggregate win over the Panthers of Gabon.

The two countries met in a second leg clash at the Accra Sports Stadium this afternoon to conclude this round of the qualifiers.

Following another impressive performance of the Queens, they have emerged as 2-0 winners in addition to the 3-0 triumph they enjoyed when they traveled to Libreville last week.

Goals from exciting attacker Portia Boakye and second-half substitute Juliet Acheampong was enough to steer Coach Mercy Quarcoo-Tagoe and his side to victory.

The massive win over the Panthers of Gabon sees the Black Queens cruising to the next phase of the qualifiers for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Ghana will now face Kenya who also dispatched Malawi in the next round of the qualifiers.
