Tony Pulis was extremely pleased with his side's performance after they beat Leicester at the King Power stadium on Sunday.

Goals from James Morrison and Matt Phillips helped West Brom to awin for the first time since they beat West Ham 4-2 at the Hawthorns.

Pulis -speaking toSky Sports- said:"It was a good performance against a very good team.I like the way Leicester play, very quickly through the pitch with two wingers and they put you under enormous pressure from their crosses. We're very pleased because we've beaten a good side.

"All over the pitch we competed and we filled spaces. Generally I was so pleased with them, they played some good stuff at times and they were resilient.''

Pulis also heaped praise on match-winnerMatt Phillips who scored his first goal for the club after he seized upon an error from Danny Drinkwater.

Pulis said,"Matt's biggest problem is his confidence in his own ability. He's got all the tools and he's a very, very good lad. Too nice at times. He's got everything and he's just got to believe in himself now."

"I've got to be honest I'd like to bring some younger players in to move us on. "We have to bring more quality in."

Pulis also spoke about his desire to bring in more quality players during the January transfer window after a frustrating summer.

Pulis went on to say:"I've spoken to the Chinese owners and instead of signing five or six players we've got to bring in one or two like [Nacer] Chadli, a bit younger with legs, but also have the quality as well that will help us out, because the spirit and togetherness of the group is absolutely first class."
