Arana has risen through the youth ranks with Corinthians, starting his career with the club in 2005 at the age of just 8. He has made 26 appearances for the Brazilian club, scoring once, andspent time out on loan at Atletico Paranaense in 2015.

Possessing a considerable amount of pace, as well as an eye for a cross, Arana is suitably attacking for manager Mauricio Pochettino whoevidentlyprefers his fullbacks to bomb up and down the touchline.

The youngster is said to be interested in a move to White Hart Lane but no contract talks are underway as yet. Spurs are expected to pursue further negotiationswith a view to tying up the deal in the January transfer window, although Schalke are also rumoured to be interested.

Spurs have also beenlinked with Belgian left back Jordan Lukaku, brother of Romelu. The 22-year old only joined Lazio from Anderlecht in the summer so a move may be unlikely, but it seems Pochettino is keen to bring in a left back which may spell the end for Ben Davies.
