Tottenham Hotspur Set for Third Attempt in a Row to Land Ex-Barca Striker in January

Tottenham Hotspur are in line to make a third attempt in a row to sign former Barcelona striker Sandro Ramirez in the January transfer window.

Spurs have been interested in acquiring the U21 Spanish international since the winter transfer window of this year, and made a second bid for the player in the summer, before Sandro opted to leave the Nou Camp and head to fellow La Liga side Malaga.

Sandro signed a three-year-deal with the club after making just 17 appearances for the Catalans, however according toThe Mirror, Mauricio Pochettino is still interested in bringing the player to White Hart Lane after the Spaniard has made a great start to the season in Spain, scoring five goals in 10 appearances.

The player would cost the north London club around £15m, and is expected to be brought in due to the dissatisfaction that Pochettino and the Lane faithful have with £17m summer signing Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar, who has failed to make an impact on the first team squad despite first choice Harry Kane being injured for large parts of the start to the season.

Sandro would definitely add a spark to a Spurs side that is struggling to score goals consistently at this rate, with the injuries to the likes of Erik Lamela leading to a lack of pace out wide, and the former Barcelona forward has the ability to play across the entire front attacking three.
