Tottenham have been tipped to complete the signing of Tariq Lamptey before the winter transfer window closes, according to Manchester Evening News.

Lamptey is regarded as a key cog of Brighton under Graham Potter since joining the club permanently from Chelsea.

The highly-rated full-back has been linked with a move to several clubs including Tottenham, Manchester United, Arsenal, and several clubs in Europe.

Manchester Evening News have reported that it is indeed Tottenham who hold ‘concrete’ interest in Lamptey, despite reports that Manchester United seek to sign him.

The report claims Spurs’ interest is believed to be more serious than United’s.

Tottenham have been busy in the transfer window as the club are currently trying to sign Adama Traore from Wolves.

A summer move, then, could be more likely for Lamptey and Spurs. Signing Lamptey would provide Conte with numerous first-choice options at right wingback.

The 21-year-old has made 15 league appearances and provided one assist for Brighton this season.
