Turkish second-tier side Eskişehirspor have appointed former German international of Ghanaian parentage David Odonkor as the new Sporting Director.
Odonkor, 34, joins the Star of Anatolia from Tus Dornberg where he extended his stay as head coach in January this year but decided to leave when the Turkish offer came.
Eskişehirspor are keen on qualifying to the Superliga this season and Odonkor will also act as an associate coach for the club.
He was part of the German team which reached the semi-finals in the 2006 World Cup.
He retired from football in 2013 following a series of injuries.
