Ghana has recorded its first win in the 2020 Turkish Women's Cup tournament after defeating Northern Ireland B 4-0 at the Gold City Sports Complex in Alanya.

Nicknamed the Black Queens, the side from West Africa started off their campaign in the tournament last week Wednesday when they faced Chile. At the end of what was a Group B encounter, the South Americans beat Ghana 3-0.

Playing its second game in the tournament earlier this afternoon, the Queens have put up an improved performance to ensure they earn their first win.

A brace from Grace Asantewaa together with goals from Princella Adubea and Beatrice Sesu has brushed aside Chile while giving Ghana a good chance to progress to the semi-finals.

The team now has 3 points but will need to prepare and defeat Kenya in the last Group B match to book the ticket to the knockout phase.
