U-17 FIFA WC Qualifiers: Ghana’s Black Maidens humiliate Liberia with an 8-0 win

Ghana’s Black Maidens have advanced to the next round of the FIFA U-17 World Cup qualifiers after recording a 10-0 aggregate win over their counterparts of Liberia.

The West African country hosted the Liberians at the Accra Sports Stadium this afternoon for the second leg of this round of the qualifiers on the back of a 2-0 win from the first leg.

Following a well-dominated effort, Ghana managed to score six goals in the first half, Later in the second half, the team added 2 more to complete a resounding 8-0 win.

Ophelia Amponsah chipped in with 4 goals, while Alice Sarpong, Tracy Twum, Abdulai Salamatu, Elizabeth Oppong all contributed with 1 goal each.

The big win on aggregate sees Ghana progress to the next round of the qualifiers as they get closer to booking a place at this year’s U-17 World Cup.
