U-23 Afcon: Black Meteors to leave Ghana for Egypt today

Black Meteors of Ghana are expected to leave the shores of the country for Egypt later today ahead of the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations which commences on November 8.

Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his lads have been pitching camp in Accra since last month ahead of the tournament.

Ghana will face Cameroon in the Group A opener before playing Egypt and Mali on November 11 and 14 respectively.

The Black Meteors will be eyeing one of the three slots to book qualification to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Ghana last participated at the Olympic football tournament in Athens 2004.
