Udinese Sporting Director Claims Liverpool 'Don't Want Piotr Zielinski'

Udinese midfielderPiotr Zielinski has been told to forget about Liverpool's interest, with the club telling him that Jurgen Klopp doesn't truly want him.

The Poland international, in action over the course of Euro 2016 as his side were knocked out by Portugal in the quarter finals, has been linked with a move to Anfield after impressing on loan at fellow Serie A side Empoli for the last two years.

The midfielder scored five goals last season prompting Klopp's interest in the 22-year-old, but a bid of just under £12m was rejected by Udinese, yet a similar offer reportedlyaccepted by Napoli.

And according to theLiverpool Echo,Udinese sporting director Norea Bonato has told Zielinski, who was holding out for a move to Liverpool, to forget about The Reds because their interest in the Pole isn't concrete.

Bonato said:There has been an agreement for Zielinski with Napoli for some time, but the guy took his time, as he had to play at the Euros.

Perhaps now is the right time to make his decision. Liverpool did not make a real offer, and if the English team does not come out of the closet, the boy eventually will understand the situation and will decide his future based on his offers.

Meanwhile Liverpool beat Tranmere Rover 1-0 in a pre-season friendly on Friday night, with Danny Ings scoring the only goal.
