UEFA are reportedly in the process of adding new kick-off times to Champions League clashes in a bid to further increase revenue through wider audiences on match days, according to German publicationSport Bild.
It is understood European football's governing body will implement two new kick-off times, 6pm and 8pm GMT, that will come into effect at the start of the 2018/19 Champions League campaign.
The news follows UEFA's decision to pass through new laws that state that the top four teams from Europe's top leagues (England, Spain, Germany and Italy) will all qualify automatically from the 2018/19 Champions League season.
Bild also report that UEFA are considering the idea of allowing six teams from one country to participate in a Champions League season. At the current time, only five teams are allowed to participate, but UEFA are discussing the possibility of allowing the top four teams from a country, with potentially the Europa League winner from that country and also the defending Champions League champion- should they fail to secure a top-four spot in their league.
The proposals are thought to be a part of UEFA's plan to improve the quality of their premier competition, which will, in turn, secure increased revenue.
Reports suggest UEFA's plans also stem from the threat of a potential 'European breakaway super league' between the most distinguished clubs in Europe.
