Zlatan Ibrahimovic's immediate future at Old Trafford is said to be in doubt - with reports that the Swedish veteran could be on his way out of Manchester this summer at the end of his conditional one-year contract.

TheMirrorreport thatMLS club LA Galaxy are keeping a close eye on the 35-year-old as he begins to lose favour in the north of England thanks to a run of form which has seen him score just one goal in his last 11 games.

United as a whole have struggled in that time too, with defeats to Feyenoord and Fenerbahce in the Europa League paired up with losses at the hands of Chelsea and Watford in the Premier League - leaving Jose Mourinho's position at the club in question among some fans.

With Ibrahimovic failing to continue his fast start to life in English football, Galaxy are said to be thinking about making an exception of their recent policy of avoiding the signing of ageing superstars in order to grab the Ballon d'Or nominee - who has an option to extend his United contract into next season.

Wayne Rooney has also been linked with the West Coast club in recent weeks as he falls out of favour in the more familiar surroundings of Manchester, but it's reported that the American club see Ibrahimovic as a more realistic target for a more in the near future.

Jose Mourinho recently praised the Swede despite his struggles in front of goal, saying:He (Ibrahimovic) is playing well for the team. He's creating a lot of chances and missing a lot of goals. If I remember Stoke, Liverpool, Chelsea and Burnley, he missed a lot of goals but he was fantastic in his dynamic, his working, his building up for the team - he was fantastic."
