Vice Pres. Mahamadu Bawumia meets Ghana legends Abdul Razak and Mohammed Polo

Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia met two of Ghana’s football legends Abdul Karim Razak and Mohammed Polo.

The two met the vice President, Dr. Bawumia at the Flagstaff house this afternoon and he took the delight to acknowledge the two legends when he posted on twitter,” This afternoon, two members of the 1978 AFCON winning team, Karim Abdul Razak and Mohammed Ahmed Polo paid me a visit at the Flagstaff House”

Mohammed Ahmed (Polo) popularly known as the "Dribbling Magician", is a former Ghanaian international football player and arguably the most technically gifted player ever to emerge from Ghana.

He was in the Ghana squad that won the 1978 African Cup of Nations held in Ghana. He was a left winger and played for Hearts of Oak in the Ghana premier league.

Meanwhile, Karim Abdul Razak Tanko played for several clubs in the 1970s and 1980s, notably the local club Asante Kotoko and the New York Cosmos in the defunct North American Soccer League (NASL).

Popularly called the "Golden Boy", Razak also played for the Ghana national team, helping it win the 1978 African Cup of Nations. He was named African Footballer of the Year later that year.
