Footballghana.com can report that Ghana and Victoria Guimaraes midfielder Joseph Amoah will be sidelined from any action for the next 6 months following his hip injury.

The player recently suffered the injury but was expected to shake it off and return to training in the next three weeks. Following a successful operation, however, the medical team has revealed that he would be out for six months.

He has been out since suffering the injury during UEFA Europa League third qualifying round tie against Ventspils at home.

The former WAFA SC man is now set to nurse his injury for a while before undergoing rehab to ensure he returns in the best shape possible before joining his teammates for training.

Joseph Amoah, 21, has been at the Portuguese club since 2014 and has established himself as one of their key players. His services will be missed whiles the club will be hoping he beats the given timeline to make an early return to full fitness.
