VIDEO: Angry Pescara Fans Ruin Club's Christmas Party With Violent Protest Outside Restaurant

It's less than two weeks to Christmas, and football clubs across the globe will no doubt be sitting down in the coming days to enjoy their own annual festive parties.

Players and coaching staff alike - providing those at clubs doing terribly are allowed to do so - will be allowed to enjoy a moderate Christmas dinner, ahead of a packed festive period, or a winter break for those who ply their trade outside of the UK.

During the season of goodwill, though, you will be hard pressed to find a club that will have endured a worse Christmas celebration than Italian side Pescara.

Players of the Serie A club were forced to lock their car doors and windows as they arrived at outside a restaurant, thanks to a group of around 100ultras who turned up to furiously protest against their side's horrific form.

Pescara currently sit second bottom of Italy's top flight after picking up just one win from their 16 league encounters this term, and the hooligans made their feelings known, by throwing smoke bombs and fireworks, as well as attacking the players' cars, as violent scenes played out.

The police eventually arrived to disperse the troublemakers as shocked players and staff watched on.

Clearly unsympathetic to the fans' angerPescara club president Daniele Sebastiani said, as quoted by theDaily Mail:"Football is a sport, not a war.We are not going to postpone a dinner because we lost a game."

'Tis the season to be jolly, eh...
