VIDEO: Cristiano and His Agent Jorge Mendes Invite Sick Former Rangers Star to Madrid

Sometimes, certain acts in football - no matter how big or small - can make the world of difference to someone's life, so take a bow Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes.

The pair were unable to attend a charity dinner for Rangers legend and club hero Fernando Ricksen, who suffers from Motor Neurone Disease, however, they decided to send the stricken former player a personalised message to apologise and wish him a great evening.

But that's not it. The pair, who are based in Madrid, go on to invite Ricksen to the Spanish capital whenever he is free. Respect.

Ricksen was actually close to not being able to attend the dinner in his honour, after KLM airline suggested that the ex-pro would not be able to fly with them due to his illness, which is having a profound effect on the player's ability to talk and move. Thankfully, an exception was made and he was able to board the flight.

Just goes to show, no matter how much money certain individuals mightearn, they're still capable of showing respect tothose less fortunate in a priceless way.
