Cristiano Ronaldo showed exactly why he is favourite to claim this year's Ballon d'Or prize after a scintillating performance for Real Madridagainst derby rivals Atletico.
The Portuguese international scored a fine hat-trick to build a four point gap at top of La Liga following Barcelona's disappointing goallessdraw at the Nou Camp against Malaga, however he has also hit the headlines for a further incident in Saturday's fiery encounter.
The former Manchester United winger appeared to get into a scuffle with opposition midfielder Koke as the pair battled in the air to win a high ball in the Atletico penalty area.
Obviously Ronaldo felt Koke had backed into the Bernabeu star a bit too aggressively for his liking, as when he landed he looked to have been so angry that he swiped at the player Rocky Balboa-style.
This was followed by the pair squaring off in a classic pre-fight media stunt before they headed to the ring, but the referee came in to break any potential bust-up but showing each of them a yellow card and sending them on their way.
He may be a class act with a ball at his feet, but it looks as though he still needs some practice with his fists.
