Perhaps not the man you'd be expecting to do a cover of a Stormzy track, but Ray Parlour has indeed attempted to recreate the successful rap track.

The former Arsenal midfielder was co-hosting talkSPORT's Breakfast Show, with Stormzy himself present in the studio.

His rap skills are questionable, but the inventiveness of the recreated lyrics do deserve some credit.

Stormzy clearly enjoyed it, claiming it was "incredible", although it's unlikely to make the cut as a bonus track on his next album.

Parlour referenced ex-Arsenal players including the likes of Thierry Henry ("that man was merky"), and Patrick Vieira ("that man was our bredrin").

Here are the full lyrics in all their glory:I remember 2003, in my whip with Thierry Henry. That man was merky, he could roast teams like a turkey.

Patrick Vieira that man was our bredrin, opposition midfielders he put the fear in. Pat was a skengman and was no wasteman, but he wasn't just a hard thing, his game was peng ting.

Us Invincibles, undefeated mandem. Never looked skitz, we all worked in tandem. Wicked.
