Ghana international Frank Acheampong has intensified training ahead of the new Chinese Super League (CSL) season which is scheduled to start soon amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The 26-year old made 30 league appearances for Teda, scoring nine goals and providing nine assists as they finished 7th on the league table last season.

Acheampong, who has represented Ghana at the 2017 Afcon in Egypt scored a league-record 17 goals for the club in his first full season last season to help Tianjin Teda survive relegation.

His impressive performance last term earned him a contract extension.

The Chinese Football Association (CFA) is yet to announce a date for the resumption of the CSL, which had originally been scheduled to begin on February 22.

The CSL was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak earlier this year.
