Ghana and MK Dons youngster Hiram Boateng scored and registered an assist in his side's 4-1 win over Southend United to progress to the next stage of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
Boateng, who climbed off the bench helped MK Dons serge into the third round of the EFL Cup at the Roots Hall Stadium.
Goals from Rhys Healey and Callum Brittain allowed MK Dons raced into a two-goal lead before half-time.
Southend reduced the deficit on 54 minutes courtesy Brandon Goodship strike.
But a fine individual effort from Hiram Boateng extended Dons' lead after 82 minutes before Sam Nombe netted in stoppage time as MK Dons advanced to the next stage of the competition.
The 23-year-old is eligible to represent Ghana as he has both a British passport and a Ghanaian passport
