VIDEO: Ghanaian players in Ethiopia stranded, calls for aid from government to return

Some Ghanaian players in Ethiopia have recorded a video pleading with the government of Ghana to help them return home.

The players included Lee Addy who was part of Ghana's 2010 World cup squad and goalkeeper Muntari Tagoe. The players revealed that their season in Ethiopia has been cancelled and they last received their salaries in March. They are now short of money and seek a quick return home amid COVID-19 fears.

They recorded the video at the embassy of Ghana from Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian Football Federation announced the cancellation of its league on 5th May 2020. They also added that they will not have a representative at next season's continental club championships.
