VIDEO: Ghana’s Abu Danladi strike’s late to earn a vital point for Minnesota United in MLS

Ghanaian international, Abu Danladi emerged as the hero for Major League Soccer (MLS) side Minnesota United after scoring a late goal to ensure they draw 1-1- with Orlando City on Saturday night.

The player despite starting from the substitute bench put up an impressive performance that paid off in the dying minutes of the game. He was called upon to replace Angelo Rodriguez on the 28th minute when he got injured.

An edgy first half encounter ended goalless despite both teams creating some decent goal scoring opportunities.

They resumed the second half in the same fashion until Portuguese international Luiz Nani gave Orlando City the lead by scoring from the penalty spot.

Danladi Abu, 23, had to pop up in the dying minutes of the game to pull his side level when it looked like they were headed for a shocking home defeat.

The young striker capitalized on a loose ball in the opponent’s 6-yard box ad fired an unstoppable shot into the back of the net to earn his side a crucial point at the end of the match.
