Midfielder for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mudasiru Salifu has stressed that he is ready to vacate his number 3 shirt at the club whenever Asamoah Gyan completes a transfer to the club.
This is coming on the back of reports indicating that the veteran striker could join the Porcupine Warriors family very soon.
Though it is unclear if the management of the club has begun talks with the former Sunderland forward, growing speculations indicate that he will join the side very soon.
Asked whether he will be open to handing over his number 3 shirt to Asamoah Gyan should he join Asante Kotoko, Mudasiru Salifu says he will not even have to think about it.
“Asamoah Gyan is my senior man and so I will hand him the number-three jersey and won’t even wait for anyone to tell me to do so", the highly-rated midfielder said in an interview on the Kotoko Express App.
He continued, “He [Asamoah Gyan] is the one that all of us will be looking up to, so I will give it to him once he likes it.”
