Head coach Philippe Clement chose the 21-year-old to the starting lineup for the club's sixth league game of the 2021/22 season. Sowah signed a contract with Brugge last month after leaving English Premier League club Leicester City.

After being given his home debut, attacker Kamal Sowah didn't waste any time in making an impression in the game in front of the home fans, as he assisted Noa Lang to open the scoring for the home team at the Breydel Stadium.

In addition, another Ghanaian international David Atanga played the final 15 minutes for the opposing team, finishing up on the losing side.

Club Brugge is currently first on the league table with 14 points after seven games.
