What is the most embarrassing on-the-pitch incident that can happen to any footballer? Getting nutmegged has to be up there with the very worst, doesn't it...
Whether a player is professional or not, there's no hiding place when an opposition player dinks the ball through your legs to leave you in their wake, especially if there's plenty of witnesses to never let you live it down, such as opposition fans or, even worse, friends.
Take Bayern Munich's David Alaba, for example, who fell victim to a ridiculously cheeky nutmeg from team-mate Rafinha during a recent training session at the club's Sabener Strasse training base:
The 23-year-old leaves the versatile full-back at the slaughter of his fellow Bayern stars after humiliating the Austria international so hard that Alaba crumples to a heap on the turf in shame.
Not content with how embarrassing the moment was for him, Alaba's team mates continue to jokingly mock him over the incident, before carrying him closer to the camera filming the action to put him to further shame.
Let this be a lesson to us all: never get nutmegged, especially when you have your entire teammates watching, and none more so than when theaction is being filmed by pitchside cameras. Agreed?
