James Rodriguez may not be lighting Real Madrid's season up, but he has showed rather spectacularly that he has not lost that magic touch.
During a training session, the Colombian star - who has only started two games for Zinedine Zidane's La Liga giants this season - scored a glorious long-range trick shot that has predictably attracted a great deal of attention on social media.

Although Rodriguez is not featuring prominently, it hasn't wiped the smile off his face, as you can see from the clip above.
However, James was not involved as Madrid overcame Athletic Bilbao 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night to move above Sevilla into top spot in the La Liga standings.
Rodriguez signed for Madrid after lighting up the 2014 World Cup for Colombia with a string of stunning performances. While he has undoubtedly shown flashes of sheer brilliance, the 25-year-old is yet to assert himself in the same manner as Gareth Bale at Madrid but hopefully, for Madrid fans at least, he can replicate his training ground sorcerery on the pitch.
