Renovation works are currently ongoing at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium ahead of the anticipated resumption of football in the country.

Named after legendary Ghana and Kotoko player, the iconic Stadium hosts not only club games but also national team matches.

In the past few years, the state-owned stadium has been exposed particularly for its bad drainage system among many other things.

In the midst of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic where football activities have been suspended in the country, the Ministry of Youth and Sports is overseeing renovations works at the Stadium to solve the drainage problem.

Other areas of the stadium will see a facelift to get the entire stadium into a good state befitting of its iconic status.
