Published on: 29 October 2016

Theatrics in football is now commonplace, it's now too late to do anything about it, diving and simulation will be part of our game forever.

And while the scenes that followed Lionel Messi's injury-time penalty winner were pretty disgraceful, with Valencia fans pelting Barcelona's players with objects including a water bottle, it's fair to say the players could have stayed on their feet instead of flopping to the floor.

Valencia were fined€1,500 for the behaviour of their fans, while Barcelona were also sanctioned with their players reportedly provoking opposition supporters.

Now, some youngsters have mocked Barcelona's stars with their own re-enactment of the whole sordid affair, collapsing to the ground after a water bottle was thrown near them.

The Patacona U12 players are shown giggling and laughing in their video, which is funnily enoughnot a characteristic shared in the many clips showing the attack carried out on Barcelona's players. Lionel Messi is showngetting very hostile towards supporters, while Barca coach Luis Enrique was also enraged by the situation.

Barcelona have come under criticism for the play-acting of their players, with La Liga president Javier Tebas stating he would have been "ashamed to pretend" as the Barcelona players did,as reported by AS.
