Ghanaian international, Edward Opoku was on target for his USL side Birmingham Legion to help them post a 1-0 win over Tampa Bay Rowdies (TBR) on Saturday.
The hardworking player showed good positioning and received a sleek pass from teammate Anderson Asiedu before smartly slotting the ball into the back of the net to give his side the lead.
The strike proved to be the only goal of the match and propelled Birmingham Legion to victory.
Though his side is placed 10th on the table with 36 points, the victory has given them some boost in confidence ahead of their next match.
